THE STEADY STATE ENDORSES MAGGIE GOODLANDER FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE’S 2ND CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
WASHINGTON — The Steady State, an organization of more than 420 former national security, intelligence, diplomatic, military, law enforcement, and homeland security officials, today endorsed Hon. Maggie Goodlander for New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District.
Maggie Goodlander is running for Congress in New Hampshire’s Second District. She began her career as a foreign policy advisor in the U.S. Senate, where she helped write landmark sanctions legislation, and served as an intelligence officer in the Navy Reserve for over a decade. After law school and a clerkship on the U.S. Supreme Court, she returned to New Hampshire to teach constitutional law at UNH and Dartmouth, later serving as counsel in the first impeachment of President Trump. Most recently, she served as a senior advisor at the White House, leading President Biden’s Unity Agenda on the opioid epidemic, mental health, Big Tech accountability, veterans, and cancer research.
Maggie Goodlander demonstrates a consistent commitment to the rule of law, supports nonpartisan oversight and accountability of the Executive Branch, exhibits a substantive understanding of the national security challenges facing the country, and upholds the democratic norms and ethical standards of public service that the organization’s criteria require.
“America needs members of Congress who understand that constitutional accountability strengthens, rather than weakens, our national security. Maggie Goodlander brings that perspective, and we are pleased to endorse her,” said Steven Cash, Executive Director of The Steady State.
