THE STEADY STATE ENDORSES GREGORY STANTON FOR ARIZONA’S 4TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
WASHINGTON — The Steady State, an organization of more than 420 former national security, intelligence, diplomatic, military, law enforcement, and homeland security officials, today endorsed Hon. Gregory Stanton for Arizona’s 4th Congressional District.
Gregory Stanton represents Arizona’s Fourth Congressional District and is running for reelection. As mayor of Phoenix, he helped lead the city’s growth and recovery, investing in transit, infrastructure, higher education, and the bioscience and trade sectors. In Congress, Stanton serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party, and is Ranking Member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management, where he has led oversight of FEMA’s disaster response.
Gregory Stanton demonstrates a consistent commitment to the rule of law, supports nonpartisan oversight and accountability of the Executive Branch, exhibits a substantive understanding of the national security challenges facing the country, and upholds the democratic norms and ethical standards of public service that the organization’s criteria require.
“Gregory Stanton understands that America’s greatest strategic advantage has always been its constitutional system of government. His commitment to preserving that system, together with his national security experience, makes him exceptionally well qualified to serve,” said Steven Cash, Executive Director of The Steady State.
