THE STEADY STATE ENDORSES TIM KENNEDY FOR NEW YORK’S 26TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
WASHINGTON — The Steady State, an organization of more than 420 former national security, intelligence, diplomatic, military, law enforcement, and homeland security officials, today endorsed Hon. Tim Kennedy for New York 26th Congressional District.
Tim Kennedy represents New York’s Twenty-Sixth Congressional District and is running for reelection. Tim previously served in the New York State Senate, where he represented communities across Erie County and Western New York. In Congress, Kennedy has focused on strengthening the economy, supporting American manufacturing and infrastructure, expanding access to affordable health care, and protecting Social Security and Medicare. He also serves on the House Committee on Homeland Security, where he is Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Emergency Management and Technology and a member of the Subcommittee on Transportation and Maritime Security, along with a seat on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
Tim Kennedy demonstrates a consistent commitment to the rule of law, supports nonpartisan oversight and accountability of the Executive Branch, and exhibits a substantive understanding of the national security challenges facing the country that the organization’s criteria require.
