THE STEADY STATE ENDORSES HON. GABE AMO FOR RHODE ISLAND’S 1ST CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
WASHINGTON — The Steady State, an organization of more than 420 former national security, intelligence, diplomatic, military, law enforcement, and homeland security officials, today endorsed Hon. Gabe Amo for Rhode Island’s 1st Congressional District .
Gabe Amo represents Rhode Island’s First Congressional District, first elected in 2023. He worked in the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs under President Obama, served as Director of Public Engagement and Community Affairs for Governor Gina Raimondo, and returned to the White House as Deputy Director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Special Assistant to President Biden. In Congress, Amo serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, including its Subcommittees on Europe and East Asia and the Pacific, and several other committees and sub committees.
Gabe Amo demonstrates a consistent commitment to the rule of law, supports nonpartisan oversight and accountability of the Executive Branch, exhibits a substantive understanding of the national security challenges facing the country, and upholds the democratic norms and ethical standards of public service that the organization’s criteria require.
