THE STEADY STATE ENDORSES SARAH MCBRIDE FOR DELAWARE’S CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
WASHINGTON — The Steady State, an organization of more than 420 former national security, intelligence, diplomatic, military, law enforcement, and homeland security officials, today endorsed Sarah McBride for Delaware’s Congressional District.
Sarah McBride represents the state of Delaware in Congress. She served as State Senator for Delaware’s First Senate District from 2020 to 2025, after working for former Governor Jack Markell, the late Attorney General Beau Biden, and the Obama-Biden White House, and serving as national spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign. As a state senator, she passed the landmark Healthy Delaware Families Act, providing paid family and medical leave to workers statewide, and the Protect Medicaid Act of 2024. In Congress, she serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, including its Subcommittee on Oversight and Intelligence, working on national security and foreign policy issues.
Sarah McBride demonstrates a consistent commitment to the rule of law, supports nonpartisan oversight and accountability of the Executive Branch, exhibits a substantive understanding of the national security challenges facing the country, and upholds the democratic norms and ethical standards of public service that the organization’s criteria require.
